Waxwork Records announces the double vinyl of the original music of “Sleepy Hollow”!

“To lodgealso known as Hausuis a 1977 experimental Japanese horror film written and directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi. The plot follows a schoolgirl traveling with her six friends to her sick aunt’s country house where they come face to face with supernatural events as the girls are, one by one, devoured by the house.

“The soundtrack of Accommodation Features original music by Asei Kobayashi, Mickie Yoshinoand by Yoshino japanese rock band, Godiego. The now classic soundtrack Effectively lures you into a false sense of security. Beginning with upbeat pop songs and upbeat tracks like “Buggie Boogie” and “Cherries Were Made For Eating,” the soundtrack slowly transitions into a dark soundscape of chaos and psychedelia. The second half of the soundtrack delivers a juxtaposed tone that sets the stage for the dismemberment, man-eating pianos, flashing colors, hallucinatory visions and gallons of blood seen in the film.

“In a successful attempt to appeal to younger audiences, Obayashi asked Yoshino to include tracks from his rock band Godiego, who also make an appearance in the film. Fusing elements of funk, jazz, rock and romantic ballads, the soundtrack captures the absurd and whimsical nature that Accommodationin contrast to his experimental scenes of horror and madness.

“To celebrate the film’s 45th anniversary, Waxwork Records is delighted to present Accommodation Original movie soundtrack officially released for the first time outside of Japan and re-released for the first time since its debut in 1977.
