Tom Hanks’ novel “The making of another major cinematic masterpiece” News, date, where to buy
Tom Hanks is making a new foray into the world of writing. Following his collection of short stories Uncommon Typereleased in 2017, the award-winning actor announced his first novel, The making of another major cinematic masterpiece, will be released on May 9, 2023.
“Every character in the book does something that I experienced while making a movie, as well as discovered a philosophy or learned an important lesson,” Hanks said. People. “Even the insane moments are some kind of hit I made or mistake I survived.”
The story of The making of another major cinematic masterpiece begins in America after World War II and extends to the present day. Throughout the novel, a series of original comics, also written by Hanks and illustrated by Robert Sikoryak, are featured.
“The source of a film can go back as many years as there are in history. A story revolves around a single moment in someone’s life, then all the anecdotes of the current day magnify this moment,” Hanks said. “Going back to 1947 makes sense, as it would have started in, say, 1559. Human desire has proven to be timeless.”
