The NMMC will organize a competition of short films and jingles on the 3Rs of the environment


In order to rank first in the 2022 cleanliness survey, the civic body emphasizes citizen participation. In this context, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will organize a competition of short films and jingles on the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) to promote hygiene among young people. The film should only be shot in the NMMC area and the length of the short film should only be 2-5 minutes with the nomenclature. The civic organization will also give a monetary reward to the winners.

As part of the preparation for the Swachh 2022 survey, the civic body is emphasizing public participation. “Drawing and street theater competitions were organized. From now on, “short film competitions” and “jingle competitions” will be organized and the emphasis will be on the participation of young people in hygiene awareness, “said a senior municipal official from the NMMC.

The aim of the short film competition is to showcase a clean and beautiful Navi Mumbai and raise awareness of cleanliness. The short films will be on the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The top three short films will receive Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.

However, it is mandatory to shoot the short film only in the NMMC area and the duration of the short film should be only 2 to 5 minutes with the nomenclature. The deadline to participate in the short film competition is December 27 at 12 p.m. and the screening of the short film will take place on December 30.

Likewise, a “Jingle Competition” is also being organized to provide a platform for artists working in the field of song and music. Based on the theme “Clean – Beautiful Navi Mumbai”, a one to three minute Marathi language jingle will be presented in MP3 format with the slogan “Nishchay Kela – Number One”. The top 3 jingles will receive Rs. 15,000, 10,000 and 7,000 prizes. The deadline to enter the jingle contest is also December 27 at 12 noon.
