The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announces that 276 films are eligible for Best Picture

With just over three weeks to go until the nominations for the 94th Academy Awards are announced, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed how many films are eligible for Best Picture.

The Academy announced Thursday that 276 films will be eligible for the coveted Best Picture, with the full “recall list” available on Oscars.org.

The list of eligible films is smaller than usual, thanks in large part to the narrowing of the eligibility window, after it was extended last year.
