Here’s what’s happening in the TV world for Sunday, October 17th. All hours are in the East.

The best choice

Succession (HBO, 9 p.m., season 3 premiere): Just in time for the start of the holiday season, Succession returns with serious family drama. The third season picks up where the second left off, with Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Greg (Nicholas Braun) and Karolina (Dagmara Dominczyk) walking away from the press conference where war was declared on Logan (Brian Cox ).

Roxana Hadadi will recap. Here are all the details we know so far about season three, and what we not know so far about season three. We interviewed J. Smith-Cameron (Gerri), showrunner Jesse armstrong, and PR managers on how Roys should handle their current clusterfuck. Read the recaps passed here, or read on our summary of last season. (Or catch up This way. We will not know it.)

Wild Card

Green (streaming on the Omeleto YouTube channel): Green is a short film about an actress who is shaken by the return of a famous comic book following allegations of sexual misconduct. Green was published by the YouTube channel Omeleto, which hosts short films from Oscar-qualified festivals. You can read more about the movie from their article on the film, and the article on directors’ notes when he was there too. Finally, you can find out more about the site of director Kylie Murphy.

Unfortunately, according to Murphy, Omeleto is likely to take Green soon down. “There are certain metrics that a movie has to meet to stay on the channel (likes versus dislikes, average watch time, etc.) that I fully understand. This topic doesn’t exactly have a positive consensus on the Internet, ”Murphy told us via email. “I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to share the film on such a large platform. But a place like Youtube is a microcosm of our larger world, which continues to support what Green criticizes. Part of me has to admire how hard the trolls work to prove the movie’s points. ”
