The coming of age story will capture the beautiful and relatable relationship between a mother and her son.

Neetu said, “When I read the script, I fell in love with it. It goes beyond the usual mother-son story and explores a different aspect that sets a unique tone for the rom-com genre.”

“As soon as I read the script, I knew this was a special movie I had to be a part of! It’s an ode to all mothers, their wishes and their sacrifices!” Sunny added.

Using comedy as its main premise, the untitled film, directed by Milind Dhaimade, delves into the integral fabric of families, communication and memories, and their role in forcing us to grow.

Dhaimade said, “To me, it’s very important who is partnering with you to create the film, because a film is made before it’s even on the floor. All the ingredients needed to put it together of the film have already been decided. This is a mother-son relationship that will resonate with everyone, regardless of region, and our cast will help audiences across India connect with a relatable story.”

Shraddha called it a “sweet, warm and delightful storyline”.

“I remember smiling from ear to ear reading it. We’re all so busy watching and creating dark, thrilling, mind-blowing content; there aren’t enough movies that focus about moments, relationships and the simplicity of life. I watched Milind’s previous work so long before I met him and really enjoyed watching Tu Hai Mera on Sunday,” she added.

Rohit Jain, MD, South Asia and Networks – Emerging Markets Asia, Lionsgate said, “Lionsgate remains bullish on investment in India highlighting the region in the global growth strategy. Lionsgate Studios in India is delighted to announce its first Hindi film.
