Halo Infinite’s creative designer takes on Web3
Huxley, a Web3 graphic novel series by Ben Mauro, is getting the feature film treatment! Not only that, but the film project will be helmed by executive producer and Hollywood veteran Ari Arad. The news comes from Web3 studio, Feature, which is partnering with Huxley to bring its incredible intellectual property to life across multiple mediums.
Hollywood veteran Ari Arad becomes executive producer of Huxley movie
To sum up, Huxley is an exciting universe from creator Ben Mauro. Notably, Mauro was concept designer and art director for iconic video game franchises, Halo and Call of Duty.
In essence, the Huxley the film is just one of the media properties that are part of Mauro’s Huxley universe. For one, the first Huxley media to launch was the Huxley NFT graphic novel. So far, the first two of the six books are out of print, with 10,000 editions for each book.
And digital/physical comics are just the beginning. To that end, plans are in place for digital and physical collectibles, a video game, and of course, the Huxley feature film.
While the feature side of Huxley is in its early stages, the addition of Ari Arad to the team is a major win for the project. To sum up, Arad is a very successful Hollywood film producer. To list some of the films in which Arad participated, there are Iron Man, Ghost Rider, and more recently adaptations of successful video game franchises Unexplored and Borders.
Web3 studio Feature announced the addition of Arad. To explain, Feature is a new Web3 studio that uses blockchain technology to power the future of intellectual property (IP). To do this, Feature focuses on creators, franchises and intellectual property. Significantly, it does so across all mediums, including the metaverse, games, and mainstream entertainment.

The history and background of Ben Mauro’s multi-media world
Even though it’s a Web3 project, Ben Mauro has been working on Huxley’s story and universe for a decade. As he says on the Huxley website,
“HUXLEY is the culmination of my life’s work, my magnum opus. Take all the skills acquired over an acclaimed career, create universes and IPs for others, and create my own. I am delighted to have the community involved from its inception and to share this adventure with me.
In short, the main character, Huxley, is a mysterious robot on a post-apocalyptic planet called Fury-7. After the planet is abandoned, humans, robots and AI must scramble to survive in the barren world, with the fate of humanity at stake.
All things considered, the Huxley movie is the latest project using the power of Web3. We’ve already seen a number of creators and filmmakers use NFT and Web3 to raise funds and generate excitement around their work. In fact, one such filmmaker even predicts that 2022 will be the year of NFT movies.
